William Joyce to host screening of 'Robots'

LSUS's Animation and Visual Effects program will host William Joyce in a special screening of "Robots," an animated featured released in 2005. The free screening and talk will take place 6:30 p.m. April 21 in LSUS's University Center Theater. Joyce is a Shreveport-based author, illustrator and filmmaker, plus a co-founder of Moonbot Studios.
At the April 21 screening, Joyce will present the concept art of "Robots." Moonbot Studios Creative Director Brandon Oldenburg will join him.
Joyce‘s work also is featured “Toy Story,” “A Bug's Life,” “Meet the Robinsons,” “Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium” and the upcoming “The Guardians” (2012). The artist also received three Emmys for “Rolie Polie Olie,” an animated series based on his series of children's books.
